Latest update: On January 16, 2023, CFSA opened three new food-related products for public comments.
Ensuring the safety of food-related products plays a key part in China's efforts on achieving a food-safety society, because some hazardous substances are likely to migrate from food packaging and containers to food products and pose potential risks to human health. China is optimizing its regulatory framework of food-related products. As the major part of food-related products, food contact materials (FCM) and articles have received widespread attention. In addition to the positive lists of FCM in corresponding GB standards, new varieties of FCM are proposed from time to time, which require solicitation of public comments. This article collects the latest and historically proposed FCM to keep you up-to-date with the changes regarding Chinese FCM regulations.
