On January 9th, 2017, the National Health and Family Planning Committee (NHFPC) released Announcement No.17 detailing 127 national food safety standards. This latest batch of standards contain 14 food quality standards, 19 production hygiene practice standards, 13 nutrition fortification standards, 66 physicochemical testing method standards and 15 microbiological testing method standard. The effective date of the hygiene practice standards will be on December 23rd of 2017, and the rest of the standards will all come into effect after the June 23rd of 2017.
