China Publishes a Mandatory Standard on the Packaging of Edible Agricultural Products

On September 8, 2023, China published a new standard in this field, set to be effective starting from April 1, 2024. [Updated] South Korea Streamlines Customs Clearance Policies

The disposable utensils will be inspected by product materials instead of types. South Korea to allow the electronic sanitary certification of livestock products imported from EU on September 13, 2023. China Prioritizes Review and Approval for FSMP for Rare Diseases

According to an official media release on September 12, 2023, State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) plans to revise the Administrative Measures for Registration of Foods for Special Medical Purpose, shortening the review period for urgent clinical needs related to FSMP for rare diseases from 60 to 30 working days, and prioritizing the on-site inspections and sample testing for these FSMP products. Also, SAMR is currently trialing this priority review and approval process.
