China Releases 18 GB Standard Drafts on Food Additives, Including GB 2760

On September 8, the Department of Food Safety Standards, Risk Surveillance and Assessment under the China National Health Commission (NHC) unveiled the exposure drafts of 18 national food safety standards on food additives, which include six newly established standards, nine newly revised standards, and three amendment sheets. Japan Issues Organic Processed Food Standards

On September 1, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (MAFF) issued the Japanese Agricultural Standards for Organic Processed Foods (hereinafter the Standards), involving the terms, definition and classification, production management requirements, labeling requirements, and a list of allowed additives added in the production process of organic processed food. The Standards will be officially implemented on October 1, 2022.
