On Feb 15, 2024, Macau SAR released the Food Additives Usage Standard in Food (hereafter referred to as the Standard), stipulating approved food additives, food categories permitted to be added with food additives, and maximum doses of food additives in specific food categories.

Macao Amends the Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Food

On February 9, 2023, Executive Council of Macao SAR announced the finalization of the draft to amend the Administrative Regulation No 11/2020 Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides in Food, in which the MRLs and EMRLs of pesticides in food were revised. The amendment was uploaded on February 13, 2023 with immediate effect.
