On Apr. 14, 2017, China NHFPC released the revised version of 9 national standards regarding the testing method of lead, copper, zinc, potassium, etc. in foods, all of which will be formally implemented from Oct. 6, 2017.
These 9 national standards include:
- GB 5009.12-2017 National Food Safety Standard Determination of Lead in Foods (replacing GB 5009.12-2010 National Food Safety Standard Determination of Lead in Foods)
- GB 5009.13-2017 National Food Safety Standard Determination of Copper in Foods (replacing GB 5009.13-2003 Determination of Copper in Foods)
- GB 5009.14-2017 National Food Safety Standard Determination of Zinc in Foods (replacing GB 5009.14-2003 Determination of Zinc in Foods)
- GB 5009.91-2017 National Food Safety Standard Determination of Potassium and Sodium in Foods (replacing GB 5009.91-2003 Determination of Potassium and Sodium in Foods)
- GB 5009.93-2017 National Food Safety Standard Determination of Selenium in Foods (replacing GB 5009.93-2010 Determination of Selenium in Foods)
- GB 5009.138-2017 National Food Safety Standard Determination of Nickel in Foods (replacing GB 5009.138-2003 Determination of Nickel in Foods)
