[Updated] South Korea Modifies the Regulation on Inspection of Imported Food

South Korea consults on the imported food inspection regulation. Fast customs clearance procedure of imported raw materials for manufacturing food products is introduced. The import inspection procedures for large quantities of agricultural products imported by bulk ships is to be simplified. The residual pesticide inspection items are expended. China’s lichee and broccoli, Brazil's raw coffee beans, the Philippines' Mango, and the U.S.'s roasted coffee, etc. are to be excluded from the scope of "foods confirmed as safe".

[Updated] South Korea to Revise Food Code: Food Materials and Maximum Residual Limits
