18 Infant Formula Newly Granted China Registration Approval

On June 5th, 2018, China SAMR unveiled the latest infant formula registration list, including 18 products (6 are imported) from 4 enterprises. Overseas manufacturers Industrias Lacteas Asturianas and Bodco Limited are listed in this batch.

This is the first time China has released an infant formula registration list in over 3 months. After institutional reform, China is now implementing more rigorous administrative procedures and hygiene standards during registration application review.

Currently, 151 enterprises with 1156 formulae (excluding special infant formula) have won China’s approval (check all in our F-lists). Goat milk powder accounts for 22% of total registrations. 47 overseas manufacturers have completed the registration of 280 formulas, representing 24% of all infant formula registered in China.
