China Consults on Infant Formula Recipe Registration Measures

Onsite inspection procedures are clarified and will become mandatory for registration. Enterprises that violate Chinese laws, rules or regulations etc. and have been listed in the credit blacklist can have their registration application rejected and /or have any existing registration approvals canceled. Manufacturers must show distinctive difference between different product lines including clear differences in both composition and nutritional features.

SAMR Releases Standards for Physico-Chemical Assessment of Health Food (Draft)

Another fundamental document referenced by authorities during health food registration assessment titled “Standards for Hygienic Physical and Chemical Examination of Health Food” is currently undergoing public consultation. After the repeal of the previous standards, namely “Technical Standards for Testing & Assessment of Health Food”, health food registration application assessment by authorities has been on an unofficial hiatus.

SAMR Issues FSMP Clinical Trial Guidelines and Assessment Criteria

SAMR published non-mandatory guidelines for FSMP registration applicants to standardize the testing of full nutrition formulas designed for three special populations.
